As the new season approaches, we’re delighted to now share the news that 130R Performance supported athlete Tom Rawlings will continue his progression in endurance racing as he joins the prestigious British GT grid this season. Tom will pair up with returning driver Chris Salkeld in one of two Century Motorsport BMW M4 (GT4 class) machines as the team looks to repeat their strong showing in last year's championship.
Exactly one year ago, Tom was finalising a deal to race with Paddock Motorsport in GT Cup which resulted in a remarkable debut season featuring two race wins, twelve overall podiums and a runner-up spot in the final championship standings. Tom will be hoping to once again hit the ground running, freshly equipped with skills developed last season in GT Cup's hotly contested GTH class as he steps up to the longer endurance format race lengths in British GT.
"I am extremely excited to be joining the championship winning Century Motorsport Racing, teaming up with Chris Salkeld in the BMW M4 GT4 in what is the pinnacle of GT racing in the UK. After a successful season, finishing 2nd in GT Cup last year, this is going to be an exciting step up and one I’m honoured to take."
"I would like to thank Nathan Freke and his team at Century, along with BMW Motorsport UK for giving me the opportunity to show what I can do at the top level of GT racing. Also, my amazing family and sponsors as without their continued support, none of this would be possible. I am looking forward to racing with Chris in “Harriet’s Chariot” and pushing for the top step from out the blocks.”

Century Motorsport team owner Nathan Freke said, “It’s great to have Tom join the Century family. We raced against him last year in the GT Cup where he did a great job getting 2nd in the GTH championship."
"He has a good attitude and is hungry to win. Him and Chris hit it off straight away and I think the pairing has a real chance of success this year.”
The British GT season begins with the now traditional Easter bank holiday opening event at Oulton Park on the weekend of 16-18 April. All nine of this season's British GT Championship races will be streamed live on BritishGT.com, the series' Facebook page and SRO's GT World Youtube and Twitch channels. Alongside this, look out for more updates here on the news page as we check in with Tom and follow his progress over the course of what's sure to be an exciting season.
