New for 2021: Peak District summer training camp

This season we’ll be running a motorsport-focused seven-day training camp on August 23-30, based in luxury accommodation in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District national park.

With an endurance sport focus, the week will include a carefully curated program of physical training incorporating strength & conditioning, fitness testing and motorsport-specific drill-based exercises (e.g. quick decision making under fatigue conditions). In addition to this, workshops in mental skills training and performance lifestyle management will be on offer, while your nutrition needs will be covered by an on-site chef and plentiful supply of products from our nutrition partners (announcing soon), ensuring you’re fully fuelled to take on the day’s challenges.

With a low coach-athlete ratio and a rounded provision of supporting activities, the camp represents an ideal opportunity to take a break from your regular routine and mentally reset from the pressures of the race season.

Placed at the mid-point of many drivers’ competitive seasons in the late-August break, the camps will offer a natural opportunity to pause and mentally refresh from the pressures of a hectic race year, leaving you to continue the second half of your season ready to perform at your absolute best. While the camp will be motorsport-focused in the structure of activities, the environment has been specifically tailored to take you out of the race-track/gym setting and benefit from the outdoor environment, with trail running, open water swimming and biking all on the schedule. If you're currently in the middle of a structured training schedule then we can work with you and/or your trainer in advance to incorporate the training camp week into your season plan. Accommodation comprises a luxury modern converted barn property, chosen for proximity to nearby training areas and for also being in a quiet, distraction-free environment to allow participants to focus purely on training hard and recovering well. Despite the rural location, the venue is easy to get to and ideally placed to approach from central transport links of the M6 and M1 motorways (or Manchester and East Midlands airports if travelling from further afield).

While we hope that things will look different in August, given the ongoing situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK is far from clear we’d like to assure you of two important points regarding attending our training camp:

  1. You can book a place in confidence, safe in the knowledge that we offer a 100% money back guarantee (including deposit payment) should Government restrictions mean that either the camp cannot go ahead, or you are unable to travel to it.

  2. COVID testing will be a requirement for all participants upon arrival, and this will also apply to all support staff involved in the running of the week. As well as allowing a low coach-athlete ratio, the number of athletes is limited to a maximum of six to enable a COVID-secure environment and for spacing to occur in training activities and the living environment.
