Following a winning debut with Capture Motorsport at Oulton Park last October, 130R Performance managed athlete Bruno Costa will rejoin the team at Spa-Francorchamps on July 14-15 to race again in the Club Enduro series.

Last time out, Bruno partnered with British Superbike team principal Paul Curran to take overall victory in a Golf GTI run by Capture Motorsport. Around Oulton Park the pair of championship debutants stunned by becoming the first drivers to win overall in the series’ invitational class for non-DSG gearbox equipped TCR/Class A machinery. You can read more about Bruno’s debut weekend and first race win in his UK motorsport career in our full event report here.
This time Bruno will be racing with series regular Colin Gillespie in a Cupra TCR, meaning he’ll now be running in the regular class eligible for full championship points. The racing in Belgium will take place over two days, with a pair of 100 minute standalone races on Friday and Saturday, and aggregated overall point scoring. With a full test day ahead of the event Bruno will have plenty of time to acclimatise to the unique challenges of the famous Ardennes circuit.

One of the main motivations for Bruno moving to the UK from Brazil was to race on historic tracks such as Silverstone and Brands Hatch. When the opportunity to race at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit arose we were excited to resume Bruno’s working relationship with Capture Motorsport which had been so successful last year. Bruno already knows new teammate Colin Gillespie from his stint with the team last time out, working with both him and Phil Dryburgh over that weekend in their bid to achieve a runner up championship placing in one of the team’s other cars.
Located in the picturesque Ardennes region of Belgium, Spa-Francorchamps is widely regarded as one of the most iconic and demanding circuits in the world. Its long straights, technical corners, and notoriously unpredictable weather conditions present an extraordinary challenge for drivers, particularly so in a longer format endurance race duration.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to race at Spa-Francorchamps. This circuit holds a special place in the hearts of racing enthusiasts around the world, and is one that I grew up watching my heroes race on. It is a privilege to be able to race there, and I am ready to embrace the challenge. I have been preparing extensively for this race with many hours of simulator practice, and am now looking forward to getting out there and driving the real circuit for the first time.
